FOREST SPACE for Parent & Child
This two-day intervention is offered to primary age children who are struggling with anxiety and their parents
27th and 28th July, 11am - 2pm
We will meet in a woodland setting and use a mixture of fun activities, learning and listening support to give parents and children a greater understanding of what causes anxiety and tools to take away for use after the course

Juliet Cumpatescu will lead the children and Sarah Charlton will be with the parents and at various times the whole group will come together to connect and share learnings and put tools into practice
​
In separate groups parents and children will learn age-appropriate brain science behind anxiety. Children will have the opportunity to change their mindset towards their feelings of anxiety. Through woodland games and crafts, they will understand the link between anxiety and survival and learn a whole host of tools and strategies to manage their anxiety in a fun and empowering way
​
Parents will benefit from some respite and share mutual support whilst their children learn and connect in a separate group. They will learn some connection and listening tools which will align with the work taking place in the children’s group. At various points the two group will combine and participate in games, crafts and shared circle time which aim to boost the parent child connection through fun, appreciation and benefitting from the support and solution focused training of the staff holding the two-day event

Taking place over two days (2 x three-hour sessions) will allow time for integration of the tools and for a substantial experience that we anticipate having long term benefits for child and parent

The cost for these two days is on a sliding scale between £50 and £75 according to parental discretion. This cost is for one parent and for up to two children. This is payable on the day by either cash or card
